AndreaHickerson, Ph.D., is the Director of the School of Communication at RochesterInstitute of Technology and an Associate Professor of Journalism. She conductsresearch on journalism routines and political communication, specifically asthey relate to immigrant and transnational communities. Her academic work hasappeared in Communication Theory, Journalism, and GlobalNetworks. She has also written for the Democrat & Chronicle and CityNewspaper.
