Presented by Julie Allen Aldrich, Director, Monroe County Office for the Aging. Julie will speak about the changing demographics of Monroe County, re-authorization of the Older Americans Act, and community plans to help our residents of all ages and abilities remain active and independent throughout all stages of life. Listeners will get a deeper understanding into the programs and services available to older adults and caregivers of any age. In this interactive session, Julie will ask for participants' input into how our County funded programs and services can best collaborate with other agencies for collective impact and improved outcomes to assist in healthy and active aging. Julie will talk about changing the stigma of aging as well as opportunities for involvement in the community.
