Hélène Biandudi Hofer is anaward-winning journalist, a documentary filmmaker, and the host and producer ofthe PBS broadcast, Need to Know, on WXXI Television. The mission of her media group, HBH Enterprises, is to uncover and explore solutions to issues that matter in our communities and stories that often go untold. Celebrating humankind, challenging perspectives, and enlightening audiences all drive the media group's news, documentary, human interest content, and events. Much of her media group's work now involves teaching journalists how to embrace the complexity of challenging, divisive, and polarizing stories (rather than simplifying them) so audiences have greater clarity and a better understanding of the complicated sides/perspectives of an issue.
