Pfaudler Lecture Series - Appearances Can Be Deceiving
When you see Batman of San Jose on his mission to help the homeless on two coasts, you would never know of his other identity as an RIT Industrial Engineering student who has been helping the homeless since high school. His Batman persona assures that the focus is on the homeless--not the hero of his childhood. When you see John Love, you wouldn't doubt his success as a businessman. Nor would you guess that he was homeless at age 16, working, going to school, while living in the Civic Center Parking Garage due to the actions of an abusive stepfather. Today, his company, Bob Johnson Chevrolet, is the largest Chevrolet auto group in the United States. Neither one of these men knew of the other's story. It is an interesting pairing. Please don't miss their inspirational stories.
