Presented by Sandra Uwiringiyimana, Human Rights Activist and Author of How Dare the Sun Rise

In this lecture Sandra Uwiringiyimana explores the realities of conflict, displacement, and the ongoing struggle for justice faced by survivors of violence around the world. Drawing from her lived experience as a refugee and her work as a human rights advocate, she examines the human cost of war, the challenges of rebuilding after trauma, and the urgent need for global attention to overlooked conflicts and marginalized communities. Sandra will discuss how personal storytelling can drive change, the role of young people in activism, and what it means to create hope and resilience after profound loss. A book signing of How Dare the Sun Rise will follow the lecture.
