A trio of experts will shine a light on the achievements of Rochester's first Black architect, Thomas W. Boyde, Jr. who designed the historic Monroe Community Hospital and contributed to the art-deco Rundel Library together with 100 other buildings. Boyde's creations were collectively instrumental in shaping Rochester's growing metropolitan area in the mid-20th century, a time when the places Boyde helped create would not have welcomed him.
