Presented by Alan J Braun, Director of Development Patricia Tice, Curator of the John Wehle Gallery at GCV&M When was the last time you visited, or brought friends and family to the Genesee Country Village and Museum? On May 28th, Alan J.Braun, director of development and Patricia Tice, curator of the John L. Wehle Gallery, as well as Adjunct Professor, Rochester Institute of Technology, will provide an update on the John L. Wehle Gallery at the Genesee Country Village and Museum in Mumford, New York, beginning with the major renovations that began in 2011 up to the current season at GCV&M. In 2011, GCV&M embarked on an ambitious upgrade of its art gallery, replacing its old inefficient oil-fueled HVAC system with sustainable geo-thermal units. In the process, they created state of the art storage rooms to house their most vulnerable collections, including the Susan Greene Costume Collection, which is recognized around the country as one of the premier collections of its kind. This Pfaudler lecture will also provide an overview of the stunning collection of sporting art collected by Jack Wehle as well as a sneak preview of this season's newest exhibit about angling art and artifacts that will open on June 6, 2015.
