Michael Lasser is a retired teacher. He is the author of two books on the American Song: from the 1890's to the post-war years. He has been a critic for several newspapers and gives talks around the country. Lasser's topic is What Happens When Opera Moves to Broadway. He'll discuss shows like, Porgy & Bess, Most Happy Fella and Sweeney Todd.
