RIT Venture Creations is a technology business incubator that provides a range of services to early to mid-seed stage startups to help them advance their businesses on their way to joining the ranks of viable, profitable businesses. Located at 125 Tech Park Drive, adjacent to the RIT campus, we support our member companies through such activities as: 1:1 Coaching through our experienced on-site staff who can provide assistance in evaluating business opportunities, support for developing business plans or preparing grant applications, and coaching/guidance in the development of your business. Consulting and mentoring to provide specific subject matter expertise necessary to advance your business. Making connections to others including, RIT faculty and the wide range of resources present on our campus, service providers, technical and executive talent, investors, student co-ops and interns, etc.

Venture Creations is home to a NYSERDA-Sponsored Clean Energy Incubator (CEI)

One of six in the State, Venture Creations' CEI has been serving that are commercializing clean energy technologies since its inception in 2009. Businesses eligible for admission to CEI include those involving "energy and power generation from renewable resources, energy efficient technologies in the power generation, energy storage, transportation, industrial, or building sectors that use alternative fuels or reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and provide environmental benefits."

  • Since our inception in 2003, the Venture Creations Incubator at RIT has graduated 31 companies, who have collectively created over 400 jobs and raised over $65M in outside investment capital.

  • The Venture Creations Incubator has approximately 27,000 square feet of floor space in our facility at 125 Tech Park Drive.

  • The Venture Creations incubator reports up through RIT’s Vice President for Research and, as a result, can make connections for member companies to access a wide variety of RIT resources and capabilities.

  • At any given time, there are generally between 18-24 companies resident in the incubator with a few more operating as non-resident clients.
