Bio

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

My name is Nia Moore, and I am a 2nd-year journalism major from Manhattan, New York. My passions are writing, photography, and figure skating. I actively involve myself in student organizations that promote diversity and inclusion, and I make an effort to support diversity groups whenever possible. I empathize with students just becoming acquainted with their environment at RIT and COLA, so I will make it a priority to accommodate them and listen to their concerns. I am looking forward to working alongside students to elevate our learning space!

Platform

As COLA Senator, I hope to bring awareness to the potential and talent that students within the College of Liberal Arts have to offer. As RIT is a tech school, some members of the community tend to overlook the College of Liberal Arts. However, I believe that with enough care and dedication, COLA can blossom into something that any RIT member can recognize and be proud to be a part of. I hope to address accessibility to mental health resources for students in COLA, while also expanding our reach to diverse organizations on campus. The most important part of any community is its members, and as senator I would like to take this opportunity to bring the ideas of COLA students to life. For any pressing matter a student has, I will be their voice.
