Rochester Institute of Technology’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee is organizing a pep rally that will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at RIT’s Clark Gymnasium. The event is designed to demonstrate support for the Tigers men’s hockey team as it prepares to play Cornell Saturday night at the Blue Cross Arena.

The pep rally will feature an address from RIT coach Wayne Wilson, a performance by the RIT Pep Band and a chance to meet this year’s Tigers. The “Corner Crew,” RIT’s boisterous fan group, has received a special invitation to attend the event.

“The pep rally is going to be a celebration of men’s hockey,” says Anna Kolnik, a senior who is one of the pep rally’s organizers. “We wanted to do something big. It’s a huge honor to play at the Blue Cross Arena.”

Tickets are still available for Saturday night’s game. They can be purchased at the Gordon Field House Box office, the Blue Cross Arena box office and at all Ticketmaster locations. Prices, which are currently $12 for adults and $8 for students, will increase by $1.50 on the day of the game.
