Baseball coaches and parents will have a chance to learn baseball “The Ripken Way” during a clinic at Rochester Institute of Technology. Former Rochester Red Wing and 12-year Major League Baseball veteran Bill Ripken, brother of baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr., will join former pitcher John Habyan to present the Ripken Coaching Clinic 2-5 p.m. Oct. 7 at RIT’s Gordon Field House and Activities Center.

The clinic is designed for coaches and parents of players at all levels. Ripken Baseball instructional programs teach youth coaches the philosophies that were instilled in both Ripken brothers by their father, former Red Wing and Baltimore Orioles manager Cal Ripken Sr.

The program costs $40 per clinic participant. The registration fee includes an instructional manual and CD-ROM. A special group rate of $300 is available for groups of 10 coaches.
