E03.0 Oath of Allegiance

Scope

This policy applies to all members of the RIT faculty who are citizens of the United States.

Policy Statement

RIT shall comply with Section 3002 of the New York State Education Law which requires that faculty members in public and private schools and colleges to whom Section 3002 is applicable sign an oath in support of federal and state constitutions as follows:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of the State of New York, and that I will faithfully discharge, according to the best of my ability, the duties of the position of Faculty Member, Rochester Institute of Technology, to which I am assigned."
