RIT will welcome the eighth class of Destler/Johnson Rochester City Scholars at a ceremony on Monday. Since the program was established in 2010, more than 150 students from the district have attended RIT and received full scholarships toward their degree programs. -

Marvin “Tim” Albert has been named director of NTID’s Student Life Team and will supervise and oversee co-curricular events including clubs and Greek life for RIT/NTID’s 1,200 deaf and hard-of-hearing students. -

Stephanie Smith Albert has been named the first director of diversity and inclusion at NTID. She most recently was the director of student life at Ohio School for the Deaf in Columbus, Ohio. -

RIT hosts summer undergraduate research programs
RIT leads universities in New York with seven federally funded summer research programs for undergraduate students. Eight to 10 students per program work with RIT researchers for 10 weeks. The newest Research Experience for Undergraduates program focuses on multimessenger astrophysics.
