Incremental tiers of service offerings

graph showing the incremental tiers of service offerings

No-cost, self-paced e-learning
This tier includes completion of the free NYSP2I Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Potential (GHG ERP) Self-Assessment e-Learning course, available at nysp2i.rit.edu/training. The one-hour, self-paced course helps companies estimate the GHG ERP of their technology versus an incumbent and includes a workbook for conducting their own analysis.

No-cost*, self-paced e-learning plus coaching
This tier includes completion of the free NYSP2I Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Potential (GHG ERP) Self-Assessment e-Learning course, available at nysp2i.rit.edu/training, followed by coaching support from NYSP2I. The one-hour, self-paced course helps companies estimate the GHG ERP of their technology versus an incumbent and includes a workbook for conducting their own analysis. After completing the course, companies submit their workbook for review. NYSP2I provides feedback, allowing companies to revise their analysis. The final deliverable is an evaluation form from NYSP2I. A short-form contract is required, but support is free for NYS-based companies.

Third-party assessment
This tier includes a cost share and development of a scope of work and contract to complete a third-party GHG ERP analysis by NYSP2I. The deliverable includes a final report detailing all work completed during the project.

Life cycle assessment (LCA)
This tier includes a cost share and development of a scope of work and contract to complete ISO 14040/44-compliant LCA by NYSP2I. Deliverables include an internal LCA report as well as a public-facing LCA report. NYSP2I can also facilitate the publication of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). Unlike Tiers 1, 2, or 3 described above, an LCA can quantify other environmental impacts of a product or process beyond GHG emissions. This tier of analysis is best suited for well-established products with consistent manufacturing processes and raw material feed streams.
