MOSAIC is an intentional community space in the SAU for students to feel connected to the RIT community and/or different subgroups and cultures on campus.
The staff and student workers who manage the space create fun and educational opportunities that facilitate community, a sense of belonging and appreciation for healthy intergroup relations.

Get Engaged
First Fridays
First Fridays is an opportunity for students, staff and faculty to stop by to participate in community building activities. The staff in MOSAIC recognize the whole person and university’s commitment to well-being. They look to supplement the academic and work experiences of our community members. Join the staff and student workers the first Friday of each month.
MOSAIC Leadership Bootcamp
MOSAIC Leadership Bootcamp is a drop-in opportunity for students to attend a one-hour workshop on a topic of interest. It is meant to be an introductory into "soft" skills to help interact and lead across culture(s). It is geared toward student employees and current or future student leaders. It is held once a year during the early fall semester.
MOSAIC Council
MOSAIC Council is a year-long commitment for 12-15 students to learn how to collaborate with other student leaders, share feedback on staff-led initiatives, and to foster institutional belonging.
MOSAIC on the Road
MOSAIC on the Road has the center's staff and student employees visit colleges and student traffic spaces on a monthly basis to share upcoming events, participate in low-risk activities, and provide information on additional services. We acknowledge that not all students will come to us, so we will come to them.
Be Our Guest
The MOSAIC space is a hub offering a dynamic space for grabbing snacks, socializing, studying, club meetings, and educational programming. MOSAIC can be reserved by all RIT committees, departments, clubs and organizations through the EMS portal. Individuals are unable to reserve the space for themselves. All requests should be made through EMS.
