What was your favorite part about the Executive MBA?

I really liked the flexibility of having the classes taught through live video sessions that were recorded. As I was was working overseas at the time (8 hours ahead of EST), there were times when my schedule and the class times did not coincide. For those sessions, I could go back and watch what I had missed when it was convenient.

What was the most surprising part of the program?

The amount of interaction with teachers and other classmates. Most people think of online learning as being an individual effort and self-paced. This was not the case with the EMBA. We were placed on teams to work on larger projects, and teachers are just a Zoom session away for extra help.

What is your best piece of advice?

There is a real opportunity to learn just as much from your colleagues shared experiences as there is from the material in class. Many times those shared experiences will bring class material alive and give it real context.

If you had to do it all over again, would you?

I would definitely do it, just at an earlier point in my career. The information on leadership and organizational behavior has been just as important to learn as the latest techniques in accounting and finance, allowing me to grow as an individual and professional.
