"My education has now helped further my career twice (so far). When I was first accepted into the program, that same week I started as a Sales Strategy, Operations & Planning Analyst at Paychex. Fifteen months later, I have completed the program and I accepted my next promotion as a Supervisor of Emerging Products."Samantha Keehley ENS Emerging Products Supervisor, Paychex Rochester, NY Executive MBA, Class of 2018 |
Why did you choose the Executive MBA program?
I chose this program because I really was looking for a hands on experience that aligned with the work I was doing in the ‘real world.’ One of the things I remember hearing from an EMBA student while I was going through the discovery phase was “you are learning things on Friday and Saturday that you can implement on Monday.” Learning at this level is a very different experience, you are going back to school to really diversify yourself and learn new skills.
How has your education helped your career?
The same week I was accepted into the program, I started a new position at Paychex. I was really able to hit the ground running and learn so much by interacting with senior leaders thanks to my education. I was coming to work with new ideas and fresh perspectives on Monday mornings and that really stood out to my management. This program made me a well-rounded student but also allowed me the opportunity to be well rounded in the workplace.
If you had to do it all over again, would you?
Without a doubt, 100x over! I have made so many friends along the way. Some have even become ‘family’ to me because we connected on such a deeper level. My cohort and my team were incredible and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
