Relay For Life of RIT is an annual event that raises money and awareness for cancer research and support through the American Cancer Society. Over the past three years, Relay For Life of RIT has raised $210,000 for the American Cancer Society, helping towards their mission that everyone deserves a chance to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.

The event takes place for 12 hours and we encourage students to participate for even a portion of the time. As Honors students, make sure to register and join the "Gibsonites" Honors team by clicking this link so we can raise the most money towards the $100,000 goal.

Earn complementary learning for volunteering throughout the event or actively participating in event programming.

Relay For Life of RIT is also seeking volunteers to help prepare for the event as it is thanks to the volunteers for actually making it happen. Volunteer tasks may include setting up and tearing down for the event, staffing tables (raffles, T-shirts, food, luminarias), and registration for attendees. Volunteer slots are hourly throughout the programming.
