Data and Analytics Governance

Overview

Data and analytics governance is a comprehensive framework that outlines a strategy to implement the university data governance policy with the processes and guidelines necessary to manage the university's data and analytics assets effectively. The goal of the framework is to align data hub initiatives with strategic goals, promote data governance, quality and integrity, and facilitate the integration and discoverability of data assets across the university.

Data and Analytics Council (DAC)

DAC is a university-wide committee aimed at enhancing our institution’s data and analytics strategy, policies, and high-level decision-making processes.

Data Governance

Data governance encompasses the people, processes, and technologies used to manage access, usage, quality and security for data assets within an organization.

Data Community of Practice (DCoP)

The DCoP is a collaborative group where members can share knowledge, develop skills, and learn about RIT’s data analytics tools and practices, data governance, and data initiatives.
