The Google Apps at RIT service is an opt-in service for your RIT Computer Account. Users can manage this at start.rit.edu. For details and instructions, visit the Center for Teaching and Learning site.

By opting-in to Google Apps, you will have access to Google Docs and Google Drive. You also must agree to only use your Google account for RIT purposes, follow RIT code of Conduct for Computer Use and RIT Network Acceptable Use Guidelines, and agree to the Google Apps for Schools Terms and Agreement.

Zoom is a web conferencing solution for RIT that allows users to connect with others using their device's camera and microphone. Zoom combines cloud video conferencing, online meetings, and group chat into one platform.

Slack is a collaboration hub that enables communication for real-time messaging, content sharing, learning, and more.

Faculty and staff that have an RIT-owned device, have the Office Productivity suite installed on that computer. Additionally, Office 365 is offered to all faculty, staff, and current RIT students and provides access to popular Office applications through any internet browser.

RIT provides faculty and staff access to a computer-based phone through Avaya Cloud Office, that can be accessed any time, any place, using your computer and a headset. Requests for desk phones will be evaluated on a case by case basis based on need and availability.
