The Eclectic Bowl
The Eclectic Bowl rests on a sculptural glass base that allows it to sit in several orientations and rotate gently. Each piece of glass in the base was placed to support the bowl’s balance and movement. During the making process, the base also emerged as a vessel in its own right. Kukadia used this relationship between bowl and support to explore how the Vignellis’ purposeful approach to design could work with the unpredictability of glass.
