Summer Design Workshops
The Vignelli Center for Design Studies at Rochester Institute of Technology hosts an annual Summer Design Workshop in partnership with The Corning Museum of Glass. Participants draw on the Vignelli archives to develop designs, then work with glassmakers at Corning to bring their ideas into glass.

The 2026 workshop explored the bowl through research in the Vignelli archives and hands-on work with glass. Over the course of the week, participants developed sketches and models at RIT, then collaborated with glassmakers at The Corning Museum of Glass to produce their designs.
