As Vignelli:Associates, a practice founded by Massimo and Lella Vignelli, prepared to move into its new 10th Avenue offices in New York City, designer Michael Bierut organized principles and staff for a historic image, taken by Richard Frank.
"This was the 'new' office space for Vignelli:Associates. I was free to do anything I thought was appropriate," Frank remembered. "Massimo and Lella were very generous with their time and appreciated my ideas. I showed them a polaroid and we got to work. This is still one of my favorite group portraits.”
