Students have a unique opportunity to study at RIT exchange partner university, Malmö University in Malmö, Sweden. Malmö is considered one of the most inventive cities in the world and Malmö University is an active hub for research, education and innovation. As a partner university of RIT, students have the opportunity to study at Malmö University utilizing the resources Malmö has to offer while building relationships with local students. Located in the center of the city, the University has played an important role in the transformation of Malmö from an industrial town to a center of learning. Malmö University fosters a collaborative environment and promotes an entrepreneurial and innovative learning environment. Almost a third of students have an international background which creates a truly international study environment and is invaluable for students who are looking for a global career.

Over 24,000 students study at Malmö University, taking coursework in 100 different degree programs. Malmö is an ideal city for students with excellent public transportation, biking and walking. With the feel of a charming town and vibrant metropolitan city at the same time, Malmö is a coastal city with many parks, beaches and blend of modern architecture and picturesque buildings for students to enjoy and is close to both Copenhagen, Denmark (40 minutes by train) and mainland Europe.

Students gain a cross-cultural perspective while learning beside Swedish students. Coursework is available in both English and Swedish. Generally there are more offerings in Swedish, but English coursework is available in:
