Ten Countries That Don't Want to Defeat ISIS

Robert Gerace returns for another meRIT Webinar to examine the growing presence of Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the Middle East. This webinar will examine the conflicting agendas of ten countries who can't or won't defeat the ISIS terrorist threat by tracing

- the origin of ISIS over the last ten years;
- its separation from Al Qaeda;
- and the establishment of the ISIS caliphate to unite the Muslim world.

Robert Gerace has been an adjunct professor at RIT for 32 years. He has taught nine different courses in three different RIT colleges, including a course in counter-terrorism for ten years.
Robert served for 27 years as a Naval Reserve Intelligence Officer, during which his unit assignments were all in support of the Defense Intelligence Agency. He also acted as Naval Attaché to the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria for ten years. In addition, he served a one-year assignment as United Nations Advisor to the Minister of Finance of Zambia in order to establish a banking system for that country.
Robert holds a Master's Degree in National Defense & Strategic Decision Making from the Naval War College in Newport, RI. He recently retired from Paychex as a Senior Leadership & Management Trainer.
