A firm believer in STEM education, Dimple Higdon has been immersed in it since she was a child, from spending time with her mother who was a teacher to attending STEM camps during her summer breaks
Her passion for science, technology, engineering and math only grew as she got older, which led her to attend and graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and master’s degree in Engineering Management.
With a focus on processes and behavior, Dimple has navigated a dynamic career path within the healthcare manufacturing industry. At Abbott, she contributed significantly across various teams, playing a pivotal role in the production of BinaxNOW, Abbott’s COVID-19 Ag Rapid Test, and in the expansion of their Diabetes Care Continuous Glucose Monitor portfolio, FreeStyle Libre. In pursuit of a new challenge, she transitioned to the semiconductor industry in 2023 as a Reliability Engineer at Samsung Austin Semiconductor. Currently, she’s the Global Manufacturing Operations Program Manager at Cirrus Logic.
Driven by a passion for cultivating environments of continuous improvement, Dimple remains actively engaged in her professional endeavors. She champions STEM initiatives to influence the growth of young students to choose life changing careers. Dimple is also a digital inclusion enthusiast, bridging the gap between people and fast paced growth of technology. Recognizing her contributions and leadership, in 2022, she was honored with the Emerging Leader Award by the Kate Gleason College of Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
In her leisure time, Dimple enjoys reading, audiobooks, podcasts, and rock climbing.
