Student presents at physics conference
Mickaela Samuel, an undergraduate chemical engineering major from South Ozone Park, N.Y., was one of the virtual presenters at the 2021 Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics held this January. Her presentation was about research done with Poornima Padmanabhan, assistant professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, on the thermodynamic driving forces that result in the formation of complex microemulsion.

Student team wins first SAE clean snowmobile competition
RIT’s Clean Snowmobile team took first place at the recent SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge. It was the first time since the team began competing more than 10 years ago that the determined group dashed through the snowy terrain of Michigan to take top honors among 13 teams competing in the annual tournament in March.
