Weinstein publishes paper in ‘Nature Materials’
Steven Weinstein, head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, is co-author of “Multiscale Hierarchical Structures from a Nanocluster Mesophase,” published April 14 in Nature Materials. Complex, self-organized structures are found throughout the natural world. A Cornell-led project has created synthetic nanoclusters that can mimic these structures and have the potential to serve as a model system for exploring biomimetic hierarchical systems and future advanced functions.

Student team wins first SAE clean snowmobile competition
RIT’s Clean Snowmobile team took first place at the recent SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge. It was the first time since the team began competing more than 10 years ago that the determined group dashed through the snowy terrain of Michigan to take top honors among 13 teams competing in the annual tournament in March.
