    Women scientists and engineers from GE will stop at RIT on Monday to talk to female RIT students as part of the GE #BalanceTheEquation tour.     Enhanced single-walled carbon nanotubes offer a more effective and sustainable approach to water treatment and remediation than the standard industry materials—silicon gels and activated carbon—according to a paper by RIT researchers John-David Rocha and Reginald Rogers.

    Alumnus to discuss 18th-century printing press

    Recent engineering grad Seth Gottlieb will speak about the 18th-century wooden printing press that he and his classmates recreated for their senior design class. Following the talk, the press will be used to print new copies of one of the 18th century’s most iconic documents: the First Amendment.

    Laura Alderfer and Ken Postel, both undergraduate students in RIT’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering, traveled to Rwanda to deliver a 3D-printed prosthetic arm after spending the fall semester designing, printing and testing it for a 19-year-old boy in Rwanda.
