Not-So-Dummy-Loads

Rockets require preflight checks for cable integrity to critical sensors. These sensors experience large ranges of values that are hard to replicate without conducting a launch. ‘Dummy loads' are often used to verify cable integrity. Our project consists of dummy loads that aren't so dumb. These microcontrollers enable loads simulate a wide range of dynamic loads for shaft speed sensors and accelerometers. Our system can simulate the full range detectable by sensors used in ABL's RS1 rocket.
