Safety and Accessibility for Everyone: Improving Access to Rochester’s International Plaza

Side-by-side photos of RIT students and activities with the text See How RIT is Advancing the Exceptional underneath.

The International Plaza held its grand opening late 2020, a space that is hoping to attract visitors from around Rochester. As a result, community members have raised concerns over pedestrian safety and accessibility to the new space. In collaboration with the Ibero-American Development Corporation (IADC), RIT students spent the year working with the community and professionals to propose traffic calming measures to be implemented.
