Catherine Shannon has joined Rochester Institute of Technology as the new executive director of the RIT and Rochester Regional Health Alliance. As the liaison between the institutions, Shannon will work to facilitate collaborations that enhance the strategic partnership.

Elle Holland discovered her dream job as a genetic counselor while still in high school, and she came to RIT to become a scientist as the first step toward her career goal. She is one of several 2023 graduates finding careers in health care.

Zhi Zheng’s robot is skilled at Tai Chi, and her research team hopes it will soon lead a class of older adults at a local community center. Zheng, assistant professor of biomedical engineering in Kate Gleason College of Engineering, developed the humanoid robot as part of her assistive technology research.
