Easton honored as Health Care Hero

Caroline Easton ’90 (biotechnology), professor in the biomedical sciences program and director of RIT’s Priority Behavioral Health and Clinical Psychology Internship, has been named a COVID-19 Health Care Hero by the Rochester Business Journal. The award recognizes Easton’s advocacy for homeless people at the House of Mercy shelter during the coronavirus pandemic. Easton and her Ph.D. interns have continued to deliver telehealth and in-person therapy for homeless clients struggling with mental illness and drug/alcohol addiction. Easton was honored at the RBJ’s Health Care Heroes virtual awards celebration on Aug. 24.
