Lohse hosts global summit on eating competence

Barbara Lohse, head of the Wegmans School of Health and Nutrition, organized and hosted a global summit on Eating Competence Research on Jan. 30 and Feb. 1. The agenda included speakers from Finland, Brazil, Costa Rica, and the United States with additional participation from researchers in Estonia, Poland, Canada, and several U.S. states. Eating competence is an emerging approach for healthcare professionals to address public health issues related to eating behaviors. Technical support was provided by the University of Maine at Augusta.
