Computing, Networking, and Video Gaming from the Past - Vintage Electronics and Computer Club @RIT
The Vintage Electronics and Computer Club will be showcasing multiple collections of electronics and computers as old as 1976! Our club is focused on the preservation of vintage technology through community! We are planning to have: - examples of 8-Bit Home computing such as the TI-99/4A, and the Commodore VIC-20 - Old laptops and desktops running MS-DOS, Windows 9x, and older linux kernels - Vintage storage mediums (floppy disks, CDs, cassette drives) - Retro networking equipment with a working phone system And more! Our goal with this exhibit is to educate the public on where computing and electronics were in the past so they can see and understand the progression of technology!
