Guitar Pedals with Pedalbuilders @ RIT

Location

Engineering Technology Hall (ENT/082) - 1110

Pedalbuilders @ RIT would like to showcase our newest projects, including the design of custom guitar effects pedals. A guitar pedal is typically a small handheld device that sits between a guitar and an amplifier and can heavily alter the instrument’s tone. These devices can add many unique sound effects that shape the way a guitar is heard in music. Whether someone is a musician, an electronics expert, or curious about how music gear works, our exhibit will provide an engaging and hands-on way to explore where music meets engineering. Visitors may even recognize tones inspired by famous songs or artists. Have a favorite band or guitar riff? Stop by our exhibit to learn how creativity and electronics come together to shape the sound of modern music.
