Personalized Neck Brace for Individual with Dropped Head Syndrome

Location

Institute Hall (INS/073) - Institute - Rm 1080

Dropped Head Syndrome is a condition in which the patient cannot keep their head upright due to musculoskeletal abnormalities. Such braces, however, present issues fitting onto patients and providing long-term support without causing significant discomfort. The primary goal of this project was to develop a functional brace for our customer (end-user) that is more comfortable, is easy to apply, and elevates the head such that tasks like talking, eating, and looking at others can be accomplished.
