Rapid Endograft Fenestration for Aortic Aneurysm

Location

Institute Hall (INS/073) - Institute - Rm 1160

A Physician Modified EndoGraft (PMEG) is used with patients with complex aortic aneurysms who are not fit for open surgical repair. With physician modified endograft a PTFE grommet reinforces the fenestration locations along with wire to allow radiological identification of the fenestrations and facilitate cannulation of the fenestrations during implantation. The suturing of these fenestrations are time consuming and tedious. With this tool the reinforcing of fenestrations becomes more rapid and reliable. We will be demonstrating each device with prototypes and animations to show how these will be being used to create reinforcements on the grafts.
