Whisker-based Flow Tracking for Autonomous Navigation

Location

Gordon Field House and Activities Center (GOR/024) - Swimming Pool

Our project utilizes resin-printed seal whiskers that are used to detect flow disturbances in water and assist in autonomous navigation. We miniaturized the current gantry system in the lab and implemented it on a small RC boat. The boat is able to collect flow disturbance data and utilize that data to assist in navigation. Ideally, we would like a space with water to allow for a demonstration.
