Wild Lighting Room

Location

Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science (CAR/076) - 1155

A yellow-colored sodium-vapor light causes objects to all but lose their color, almost like an old sepia photo. Experiment with colorful objects and create unique art in this weird lighting. In another part of this exhibit, play with glow sticks, fluorescent markers, and invisible ink pens under black lights (ultraviolet lights). Learn about fluorescence and phosphorescence.
