Extremal Graph Theory and Dynamical Systems (REU)

Overview

The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in the study areas funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Program Dates: June 7 - July 30, 2021

Deadline: March 1, 2021

Women, veterans, first-generation college students, and students from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

Summer research problem areas include:

  • Graph Theory
  • Graph Ramsey Numbers
  • Dynamical Systems of Climate Change
  • Modeling of Heart Arrhythmia

Work closely with faculty on cutting-edge research and have the opportunity to present your findings at the 2022 Joint Mathematics meetings in Seattle, WA.

Benefits

  • A stipend of $4800. Free apartment-style housing and meal plan will be provided if the program is held in person.
  • Work closely with faculty on cutting-edge research projects.
  • Participate in an "Ethics in Science" workshop.
