Carichino and team study contact lens comfort

Lucia Carichino, assistant professor in the School of Mathematical Sciences, presented “Effect of Eye Deformations on Contact Lenses Comfort” at the SIAM Conference on the Life Sciences held July 11-14, virtually and in Pittsburgh. Carichino and co-authors Kara Maki, associate professor in the School of Mathematical Sciences, and former faculty member David Ross describe a novel mathematical model to study the effect of contact lens suction pressure on ocular deformations, and how this could affect contact lens comfort.
