Magazine recognizes optics research
Optics & Photonics News magazine highlighted research by RIT scientists in a special publication that highlighted 30 stories they felt communicated breakthroughs of particular interest to the broad optics community. The research focused on an optical-tweezer phonon laser the researchers proposed and demonstrated. Mishkat Bhattacharya, associate professor of physics at RIT, led the theoretical team on the paper, which also consisted of RIT postdoctoral researchers Wenchao Ge and Pardeep Kumar.
