Qiao serves as program chair for lasers conference
Jie Qiao, associate professor in the Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, served as the program chair for Applications & Technology (A&T) at the 2022 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO), held May 15-20 in San Jose, Calif. CLEO is the premier conference in lasers and photonics. The A&T program covers innovative technologies and applications in lasers, laser-based manufacturing and sensing, photonics, and quantum technology in transition. Qiao, imaging science Ph.D. student Gong Chen, and Postdoctoral Research Associate Wendwesen Gebremichael presented three papers at the conference.
