Dancy Duffus Award for Outstanding Citizenship in the RIT Community

Eligibility

Eligible staff must be regular employees of the university for at least six months prior to the award ceremony. Recipients must be employed at RIT at the time of the award ceremony. This award is given at the discretion of the Selection Committee to one individual who has not previously received this award.

Criteria

The recipient:

  • Demonstrates exceptional service to university constituents.
  • Exhibits outstanding leadership qualities.
  • Serves as a model of service to the RIT community.
  • Shows imagination, creativity and innovation which embody the RIT Core Values.
  • In addition, awardees may demonstrate one or more of the following:
    • A significant contribution to advance diversity, equity and inclusion that has resulted in a positive outcome.
    • An exceptional contribution to their department’s level of service satisfaction.
    • A significant contribution to the efficiency of an operation or unit.
    • A significant contribution to student success, directly or indirectly.

Nominations

Nominations for the Dancy Duffus Outstanding Citizenship Award will be accepted through November 30, 2022.
