myCourses Updates: What’s new in the Fall 2025 semester

myCourses (Brightspace) went through a number of updates over the summer. A few of the most relevant changes to the system are highlighted below:

myCourses New Quiz Evaluation Experience is designed to streamline grading workflows and enhance instructor productivity. Review the Visual tour of the new quiz evaluation experience and watch New Quiz Evaluation Experience | Instructor for more information.
In the myCourses Quiz Tool, instructors can now print a myCourses quiz – functionality that many instructors have asked for!
In the myCourses Assignments Tool you’ll notice a new assignment type: Flexible text or file submission. Instructors can choose to accept submissions as an uploaded file, text in the Assignment textbox, or now accept both submission types.
Turnitin has upgraded to the Next Generation Feedback Studio which is visible when using Turnitin with myCourses Assignments. The new look is clean and simple without losing any functionality. Check out the Enhanced Similarity report overview to learn more.
