Honors Council

The Honors Council is a student-oriented, student-run part of the Honors Program that exists to promote the pillars of citizenship, leadership, and academic excellence; to foster community and wellness among students in the Honors Program; and to represent the interests of the student body to the faculty and administration. Honors Council is comprised of Delegates from each College and from community groups within Honors that make up four committees. The chairs of each committee and the Council President make up the Executive Committee.

Spring 2026 Honors Council meetings take place on alternating Tuesdays, 5:00-6:00pm, WAL 4640 (1/20, 2/03, 2/17, 3/03, 3/17, 3/31, 4/14)

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is made up of a President who is elected by the Honors community, and the chairs of each of the three committees. The Executive Committee is responsible for ensuring committees have the resources they need to succeed, distributing information to the Council and the broader Honors community, and making sure students have opportunities to engage with the Honors Program.

Connect with the Executive Committee members at full Council meetings (see meeting dates on the "Upcoming Events" page) or reach out via email with questions or thoughts about how Council can best serve the Honors and RIT community.
