SOIS academic advising is a continuous, proactive process where advisors and student's partner to review each student's individualized curriculum goals and build connections and networking opportunities with RIT faculty, staff, and Rochester community partners.

A SOIS advisor's role is to act as a mentor and advocate for you, as well as help you make connections with SOIS/RIT faculty, review experiential learning opportunities, such as engagement with Rochester Community Partners, and most importantly, successfully complete your degree requirements. To that end, we are committed to responding to you in a timely and effective manner.

As the student, you are responsible for knowing your degree requirements and being engaged in your educational journey through SOIS and RIT.
