Tiger Heritage Month Spotlight: Dr. Rachel Ramirez BS ‘98
RIT alumna Dr. Rachel Ramirez BS ‘98 is our Tiger Heritage Alumni Spotlight for the month of November, which is Native American Heritage Month. Ramirez is currently a program director of internal medicine residency at Abington-Jefferson Health as well as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Pennsylvania.

The arrival of 2024 will turn a fresh page for the RIT Alumni Book Club as we prepare for the first book of the new year, Sinkable: Obsession, the Deep Sea and the Shipwreck of the Titanic by Daniel Stone. The reading period will take place from January 5 - March 8.
Alumni Vincent Alban named College Photographer of the Year for second year in a row
Students and alumni from RIT’s School of Photographic Arts and Sciences received a total of seven awards in this year’s international College Photographer of the Year competition. Among the awards, Vincent Alban BFA ’23 earned the title of College Photographer of the Year for the second year in a row.

For 42 years, Expressions of King’s Legacy programming has been dedicated to celebrating the life and impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, RIT will welcome Dr. Ibram X. Kendi as the keynote speaker. The event is free and open to the public.

Rachel Bratek BS '17 married Miguel Murphy '19 on October 14, 2023 in Buffalo, NY. They were joined by fellow RIT graduates and Alpha Sigma Alpha alum in celebration.
Keith Bullis AAS '77 has been named the University of Rochester Medical Center Board Excellence Award Winner for Eastman Institute for Oral Health for 2023.
